hi there!

Why hello. I’m Kristen L. Goldberg (she/her), but you can call me Kris. I’m 28, a Leo sun/Virgo moon/Capricorn rising, and I’m so happy to have you here.

I’m a writer that writes from the gut, creating soulful personal essays and sharing stories of sorts about my experience as a human human-ing. I am constantly excavating myself throughout the process and sharing my findings in the hopes that when I share the truth of my interior, it helps others feel less alone in their own. The funny thing is that when I write the most specific, off-the-cuff things, they seem to resonate––because within the specific lies the universal. That is the north star of my writing and self-expression. Both have been my #1 tools in my return to myself because when I write, I cannot hide from myself. When I create and share my art, when I self express, it brings me into communion with my own soul, with other lovely beings, with the ever-changing seasons around me, and with the divine that guides my work.

My favorite color is green. My favorite smells are resinous incense, musk, bonfires, wet earth, and neoprene. My favorite compliments to receive are ‘you have great energy’ or ‘your skin looks great.’ I like cooking dinner for friends, floating in the ocean with my ears submerged, reading a book under an overhang as it rains, being cozy, wrapping words around subtle memories, baking loaf cakes, and touching moss.

You can find me on other digital portals like Instagram or good ol’ email.

what to expect

I used to try to pigeon hole my writing into specific offerings and then found that to be SO restrictive, so stifling. Self expression doesn’t fall into perfect little buckets so I won’t try to do that here. But if I had to give you an answer it would be to expect about 4 posts a month about topics that were probably born in my diary and then explored further and shared here, with you. They are raw and honest, gut wrenching at times, a bit cheeky here and there, definitely loving, and they will probably make you tear up or love yourself a little more. The one thing I can say is that my writing often feels like food for the heart (because it is food for my own).

Again, I am so happy to have you here. Love you! Feel free to DM me or whatever if you wanna connect. I love finding folks through my writing and can’t wait to meet ya. xo
